Italo Ticket types

  • Italo Economy: Despite the name, Italo Economy class is equipped with many rows of leather seats. There are also sockets and free Wifi is available. Snacks are available for purchase on board. This class is also known as smart class.

  • Italo Comfort: This class is also equipped with leather seats, sockets and free Wifi. However, there are fewer seat rows than in the Italo economy class. In addition, there is an on board service with drinks and snacks. This class is also called prima class.

  • Italo Premier: This is the premier class - with minimal seats in each carriage, there’s plenty of space and privacy for travellers. For entertainment, screens are built into the seats in front.

What facilities are available with Italo?

  • Can I take a bike on a Italo train?: All Italo trains are equipped to store bikes free of charge providing they are disassembled and placed in a bag. The bike must not exceed 80x110x40 in size.

  • Can I take pets on a Italo train?: The transportation of cats or other small animals not exceeding 70x30x50 are permitted on all Italo services. There is a stringent one-pet-per-passenger policy. Dogs over 10kg are allowed on board provided they are kept muzzled and on a leash. All dogs must travel with their registration certificate.

  • How much Luggage can I take on a Italo train?: Providing there is room, and it is not disruptive to fellow passengers baggage is free and unlimited, with room guaranteed for 2 suitcases and 1 carry-on bag.
