Ferries from Dublin Port leave for Holyhead in Wales twice a day, one service in the morning and the other mid-afternoon. From Holyhead, Virgin Trains operate a direct service to London Euston. When travelling on the mid-afternoon ferry, the subsequent Holyhead to London train service is indirect, requiring further changes at Bangor and Wolverhampton. The total journey time of trains from Dublin to London, including the ferry crossing, is just under 8.5 hours.
