Taking the Train from Manchester
Direct trains services to Bradford depart from Manchester Victoria. Manchester Victoria is the second biggest rail station in the city, located to the north of the city centre, close to Manchester Arena. From central Manchester passengers can walk to the station in just ten minutes. Alternatively there is a choice of public bus and metrolink tram services which offer a short 5 minute journey from the city centre to Manchester Victoria Station. Trams run from early in the morning until midnight, although those boarding the first train of the day to Bradford will need to book a taxi to the station.
Getting into Bradford by Train
A UNESCO City of Film and one time Wool Capital of the World, Bradford has a rich industrial heritage. The city centre boasts a number of splendid Victorian buildings including the Italianate City Hall and with its reputation as the UK's Capital of Curry it's a great city to dine out in. Trains from Manchester arrive at Bradford Interchange, the city's main train, bus and coach terminus which is located right in the city centre. Whilst most of central Bradford can be reached on foot from here, the Interchange is a very easy place to find onward bus travel from.
