How to Get to Berlin by Train

It is possible to travel from London St Pancras station to Berlin with only two changes - Brussels and Köln (Cologne) on the EST and ICE train services. Leaving mid morning from London, you have plenty of time to arrive at St Pancras from points across the UK, and you will be in Berlin by the evening. On your return journey, trains leave early in the morning, allowing passengers to arrive back in London by mid afternoon.

About Berlin

Berlin, once divided, is still a city of contrasts. You can enjoy strolling through the Pergamon Museum, on Museum Island, and marveling at the Ishtar Gate, the Market Gate of Miletus and the Pergamon Altar, all transported piece by piece from the ancient homelands. Don't miss the famous bust of Nefertiti at the Neues Museum and the many other fabulous antiquities from Germany's colonial past. Witness the vibe of East Berlin and recall history in the making when the wall came down. Visit the former Stasi headquarters, now a museum, and be sure to pass through Checkpoint Charlie to learn about the history of the Berlin Wall. Stoll around Mitte to discover rowdy bars and try to find an old school dance hall where people of all ages eat, drink and do traditional dancing into the night. No visit is complete without a trip to the top of the TV tower, offering amazing views far across the city.
